About the Company

Emcore offers a broad portfolio of compound semiconductor-based products for the broadband and specialty fiber optics market. Emcore`s Fiber Optics technologies convert electrical energy into optical signals, enabling high-speed communications infrastructures. We design and manufacture optical components, subsystems and systems that enable the transmission of video, voice, and data over high-capacity fiber optic links for a wide variety of applications including Cable Television (CATV) and Fiber-To-The-Premise (FTTP) networks, Satellite & Microwave Communications, and Broadcast & Professional Audio/Video. In addition, Emcore provides specialty photonics technologies for Commercial, Government, Aerospace and Defense applications.

 

About the Person

Alfredo Gomez joined EMCORE in September 2007 as Corporate Counsel. Prior to his current role, Mr. Gomez served as Vice President and Deputy General Counsel. Mr. Gomez started his legal career as a corporate associate with the Newport Beach, California law firm of Stradling Yocca Carlson & Rauth. Prior to joining EMCORE, Mr. Gomez served as inhouse corporate counsel for Western Digital Corporation, and as Director of Legal Affairs for j2 Global Communications, Inc. Mr. Gomez earned a B.A. degree in Economics from Stanford University and he received his J.D. from the Georgetown University Law Center.
