The New Hampshire Judicial Branch employs approximately 700 employees and 80 judges in 40 court locations throughout the state. New Hampshire has a unified court system where all courts are managed under one operating structure. The Administrative Office of the Courts, located in Concord, performs centralized, specialized services and activities such as human resources management, facilities management, accounting, financial management, auditing, and information technology. The mission of the New Hampshire Judicial Branch is to preserve the rule of law and protect the rights and liberties guaranteed by the United States and New Hampshire Constitutions. The courts will provide accessible, prompt, and efficient forums for the fair and independent administration of justice with respect for the dignity of all we serve.
With the adoption of the City Charter in 1949, the council-manager form of government under which the City of Killeen currently operates was established. The mayor is the City`s chief elected officer, but has no administrative power. The mayor presides over the City`s seven member City Council, which sets all policy. The operations of the City are overseen by a city manager appointed by the council. The citizens elect a mayor and three council members at large. The other four council members represent specific districts of the City and are elected by voters living in their districts. Terms for the mayor and all council members are two years, with a three-consecutive-term limitation for each office. The City holds nonpartisan elections each May. The mayor and the at-large council members are elected in even-numbered years, and the four district council members are elected in odd-numbered years. The Department of Alcohol and Other Drug Abuse Services (DAODAS) is the South Carolina government agency charged with ensuring quality services to prevent or reduce the negative consequences of substance use and addictions.The mission of DAODAS is to ensure the availability and quality of a continuum of substance use services, thereby improving the health status, safety, and quality of life of individuals, families, and communities across South Carolina. DAODAS coordinates a statewide system of local substance abuse agencies that provide prevention, treatment, and recovery services.
