American Foods Group is owned by the holding company: Rosen`s Diversified Inc. Rosen`s Diversified was founded in 1946 by Elmer Rosen and Ludwig Rosen. They began buying livestock in rural areas and hauling it to St. Paul, Omaha, Sioux City and beyond. In the late 1950s, they began selling feed, fertilizer and chemicals to farmers. They entered the “ag chem” business at the right time and grew along with it. Country Archer Jerky

In 1977, a butcher and artisan named Celestino “Charlie” Mirarchi started making jerky. Charlie was definitely a doer. In fact, he was so busy making jerky that he couldn`t devote much time to selling it. So, his snacks remained a hidden gem—until Eugene and Susan Kang discovered it at a roadside stand on a trip to the Grand Canyon. They loved the jerky so much they decided to track down the maker.
