Artspace.com was founded in 2011 by Christopher Vroom and Catherine Levene. The site, which raised $8.5 million in Series B funding in February, is an online platform where collectors can purchase works by top contemporary artists directly from leading commercial galleries and cultural institutions such as the Metropolitan Museum of Art and The Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum.
