Cedarville University is a private, co-educational university located in Cedarville, Ohio, United States. At its founding, the school was affiliated with the conservative General Synod of the Reformed Presbyterian Church in North America, General Synod, now Presbyterian Church in America.

Founded in 1919 as the Springfield Division of Northeastern College, became Western New England College in 1951 and Western New England University on July 1, 2011. The present campus on Wilbraham Road was purchased in 1956 with the first building, today`s Emerson Hall, opening in 1959.

Alabama State University was founded in 1867, in Marion, Ala., as a school for African-Americans. The school started as the Lincoln Normal School with $500 raised by nine freed slaves now known as the Marion Nine, making ASU one of the nation’s oldest institutions of higher education founded for black Americans. Today, Alabama State University, located in Montgomery, Ala., is a widely respected, world-class institution of higher learning which welcomes students of all races.
