The key Academy apparatus will include: Boeing 767 for parabolic flight, high-gravity human centrifuge, 4-million+ gallon neutral buoyancy tank, hypobaric and hyperbaric chambers, and a host of other supporting facilities and equipment to come. VODEC was started in 1968 when a group of parents, teachers, and elected officials banded together to create a community-based employment program for their loved ones with intellectual disabilities. Since that day, more families have joined VODEC helping us to create many programs that serve hundreds of families in the Midwest.
