Susquehanna Health was formed in 1994 by the affiliation of the three Lycoming County hospitals—Williamsport Regional Medical Center, Divine Providence Hospital and Muncy Valley Hospital. In 2012, Susquehanna Health welcomed the facilities of Laurel Health System into the organization. Susquehanna Health is located in rural northcentral Pennsylvania and is the region's largest employer with more than 4,000 employees. Divine Providence Hospital and Williamsport Regional Medical Center are centered in Williamsport, the county seat. Muncy Valley Hospital, located in Muncy, is positioned to serve the eastern portion of the county, while Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Hospital, Wellsboro, serves the northern part of the region.
