The MESH Coalition is an innovative non-profit, public-private partnership that enables healthcare providers to respond effectively to emergency events and remain viable through recovery. The MESH Coalition supports effective healthcare sector emergency management by providing preparedness and planning services, innovative clinical education and training programs, healthcare intelligence services, and legal, regulatory, policy, and financial analysis. Through our systems-based approach to preparedness, MESH enables our healthcare partners to work together more effectively while using fewer resources. Founded in 2008, the MESH Coalition is considered one of the most sophisticated organizations of its kind in the United States. Originally funded through a grant from the United States Department of Health and Human Services, MESH is sustained primarily through the support of subscribing healthcare organizations. The MESH Coalition: working together to meet the healthcare response needs of our community.
Bobby Courtney, who has served as the MESH Coalition’s interim CEO since January, has been promoted to Chief Operating Officer and General Counsel. He was previously the organization’s chief of programming. In his new role, Mr. Courtney will lead the organization’s legal and policy development work and play a significant role in managing the MESH Coalition’s Indianapolis operations. Bobby is pursuing a J.D./M.P.H from Indiana University, where he currently serves as Executive Managing Editor of the Indiana Health Law Review. His prior experience includes eight years in healthcare strategic planning at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria, Illinois. In 2010, Bobby was recipient of the Indiana University Health Law Faculty Award for Excellence in Health Studies, as well as the Indiana State Bar Association Health Law Section Distinguished Writing Award.
