About the Person

Brad Feuer was appointed General Counsel for Barnes & Noble, Inc., in December 2013 after serving in an interim role since July 2013. Mr. Feuer first came to Barnes & Noble in 1999 and for many years was the only lawyer on staff. Over time, he has worked across all departments within the organization, including the Retail and Digital businesses, Barnes & Noble College and Sterling, and has been instrumental in providing legal support for key vendors and publisher partnerships. Mr. Feuer has been responsible for many legal successes, including providing support for the launch and continued development of the NOOK and Digital business and the development of content distribution agreements that form the backbone of the Barnes & Noble eBook store. He handles a variety of legal matters ranging from corporate governance, antitrust, First Amendment, litigation, intellectual property, technology licensing, proprietary publishing, merchandising, digital education, customer service, employment, loss prevention and vendor compliance. Prior to joining Barnes & Noble, Mr. Feuer was an associate at the law firms of Weil, Gotshal and Manges LLP, and Brobeck Phleger & Harrison LLP.  Mr. Feuer received an A.B. in Public Policy Studies from Duke University and his J.D. from the University of Virginia.
