About the Person

Based in DTZ’s global headquarters in Chicago, Global General Counsel Brett Soloway is an integral part of the global leadership team. Brett oversees DTZ’s worldwide legal activities and plays a critical role in developing and implementing DTZ’s governance and risk management practices. As Global General Counsel, Brett is responsible for developing and leading DTZ’s corporate legal strategy to protect and promote the company’s interests globally. He provides counsel on legal and business matters and ensures the delivery of all legal services in a wide range of areas including regulatory compliance, transactions, risk management, employment law, and litigation. Brett also is responsible for the functional oversight of regional legal teams in the Americas, EMEA, North Asia and Asia Pacific. Prior to joining DTZ, Brett led an international team for Home Depot that was responsible for all legal matters relating to development, operations, and property management activities for more than 2,500 stores, distribution centers, and offices in the U.S., Canada, Mexico, China, and India. In this role, he managed transactional, environmental, litigation, regulatory and other specialty legal work, including work on M&A transactions, logistics/supply chain concerns, construction and facility maintenance issues, legal compliance, and regulatory matters.   His expertise includes EH&S and OSHA matters; energy agreements and Renewable Energy Credit projects; loss prevention and asset protection activities; and direct interaction with federal, state and local regulatory agencies.
