Transylvania County is located in the beautiful mountains of Western North Carolina, about half way between Asheville, North Carolina and Greenville, South Carolina. The county seat is Brevard, NC. The Transylvania County Courthouse, located in the heart of Brevard, is on the National Register of Historic Places.
