Coastal Behavioral Healthcare, Inc. is a 501(c) (3) not-for-profit community behavioral healthcare organization, which was originally founded in Sarasota as Storefront Centers for Counseling more than 40 years ago. Since that time, Coastal has grown to over 200 employees who serve more than 6,000 individuals in Sarasota, DeSoto, Charlotte, Lee, and Manatee counties each year. At the heart of Coastal Behavioral Healthcare’s mission is an earnest passion for “caring for our community” through the implementation of best practices that assist individuals in gaining the tools they need to overcome the challenges of mental health and substance abuse disorders. Coastal Behavioral Healthcare is licensed by the Florida Department of Children and Families and accredited by The Joint Commission.
