In addition to deposit services, business and personal loan products are available. The loan process at CB&T is straight-forward and transparent. Loans are available in all amounts to meet financing needs. Carter Bank & Trust offers business loans with competitive fixed and adjustable interest rates and with short or long-term maturities. Among our offerings are acquisition and development loans, construction loans, and business real estate loans for owner-occupied and income-producing commercial real estate properties. Personal loan products offered include loans for the purchase or refinance of personal residences, home improvement loans, new and used automobile loans, and unsecured loans for personal expenses. We also make real estate construction and acquisition loans, as well as fixed and variable rate mortgage loans. Since our beginning in 1974, we have been primarily a real estate-secured lender. Real estate as collateral has provided protection from losses, as evidenced by minimal loan losses over the years. Loans are not sold off once originated.
