Casella was founded in 1975 as a single truck operation in Rutland, Vermont. In 1977, Casella opened the first recycling facility in Vermont. The company has remained under the same management for over 40 years. Over time our footprint has grown to include six states. Our mission is to create value for our customers, our communities, and our company by Giving Resources New Life®. Casella provides resource management expertise and services to residential, commercial, municipal and industrial customers in the areas of solid waste resource collection, recycling, organics, energy recovery and disposal.
