The mission of the YMCA of the Foothills is to organize, develop, finance, and conduct programs for an association of persons of all ages that will, by putting Christian principles into practice, enrich the quality of their lives spiritually, mentally, physically and socially.
Founded in 1969, EAC Network is a not-for-profit human service agency with a network of 70 programs throughout Long Island and New York City. Last year EAC Network helped over 68,500 people of all ages. Among those we assisted were children who have been physically or sexually abused, senior citizens needing support, people struggling with substance abuse and/or mental illness, youth in the foster care system, persons on public assistance seeking financial independence, adults and youth who are under or unemployed, individuals needing help to mediate disputes and families in crisis.
National Lutheran Communities & Services (NLCS) has been blessed with a long tradition of service to people of all faiths. Since 1890, we’ve helped people find wonderful choices for retirement living, new options for financial security and expert services for health care and wellness. While staying rooted in our heritage, we have continued to plan for the needs of future generations we will serve. NLCS is a faith-based, not-for-profit ministry of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America’s (ELCA) Delaware-Maryland, Metropolitan Washington, D.C. and Virginia Synods serving people of all beliefs. NLCS provides seniors with a variety of lifestyle, residential and health care options through retirement communities in Maryland and Virginia.
We are a familiar face and trusted friend in central and southwest Minnesota but with a new name. The new name – United Community Action Partnership, Inc. (UCAP) – was adopted through the merging of two organizations (Heartland Community Action and Western Community Action) with a rich history of helping people, changing lives, and working to eliminate poverty in the lives of people in Cottonwood, Jackson, Kandiyohi, Lincoln, Lyon, McLeod, Meeker, Redwood, and Renville counties. UCAP is a joint effort to bring together area resources to effectively and efficiently address the growing needs of our local communities in southwest Minnesota. We continue to hold true to our history of being a “grass-roots” private nonprofit organization that is represented and led by the communities we serve.
