About the Person
Chris Kaitson has been a Vice President and Assistant Secretary of Law - Midcoast Holdings, L.L.C., General Partner of Midcoast Energy Partners, L.P. since May 2013. Mr. Kaitson has been Vice President of Law of Enbridge Energy Management LLC and its General Partner -Enbridge Energy Company Inc. since May 2007. He has been Deputy General Counsel and Vice President of Law of Enbridge Energy Company Inc - General Partner of Enbridge Energy Partners LP since May 2007. Mr. Kaitson has been an Assistant Secretary of Enbridge Energy Company Inc., General Partner of Enbridge Energy Partners LP and Enbridge Energy Management LLC since July 2004. He serves as Deputy General Counsel of Enbridge. Prior to that, he served as Assistant General Counsel and Assistant Secretary of EEP’s general partner and Enbridge Management from July 2004 to May 2007. He served as an Associate General Counsel of Transportation South, Enb of Enbridge Energy Partners Lp. He served as an Associate General Counsel of Enbridge Energy Management LLC since July 2004. Mr. Kaitson served as a Corporate Secretary of ENBRIDGE COMPANY/Enbridge Energy Company, Inc. and Enbridge Energy Partners LP from May 14, 2002 to July 2004. He served as a Corporate Secretary - Enbridge management, the Manager of Enbridge Energy Partners LP from November 2001 to July 2004. He served as Corporate Secretary of EEP’s general partner from October 2001 to July 2004 and as Corporate Secretary of Enbridge Management from May 2002 to July 2004. Mr. Kaitson was Assistant Corporate Secretary and General Counsel of Midcoast Energy Resources, Inc. from 1997 to May 11, 2001. Chris has over 30 years of energy experience with a proven record of managing the law departments of publicly traded limited partnerships and corporations, and the construction and operation of both liquids and natural gas onshore and offshore pipeline facilities. He has been involved in bringing commercial transactions to closure and integration of assets and personnel having closed over 50 acquisitions. Chris received a Forensics degree from Indiana University and Doctor Jurisprudence from South Texas College of Law.
