The Finance business unit is where the corporate financial management responsibility resides within Halifax Regional Municipality. With its respected and supported staff, Finance provides direct services and advice to internal clients, Council and the taxpayer, ensuring their ability to undertake financial transactions in a timely, effective and efficient manner. Currently, Finance divisions include Accounting, Procurement, Payroll, Revenue, Fiscal & Tax Policy. Over 194 Finance staff operate from various locations within HRM including Alderney Gate, Duke Tower, Turner Drive, MacIntosh Street, Cowie Hill, Bayers Road, Alderney Gate, Halifax Transit and from the offices of many other business units.
