The Board of Aldermen consists of eight members, two Aldermen are elected from each of four wards. The Mayor and Aldermen serve two year terms, with four Aldermen being elected each year. The City Administrator is the chief administrative official of the City and is responsible to the Mayor and Aldermen for the administration of the City government. The City is organized into four departments: Administration, Parks and Recreation, Police, and Public Works.
