DistroKid is a digital music distribution service based in the United States, founded in 2013 by Philip Kaplan. It emerged from a social media platform for musicians called Fandalism. DistroKid specializes in helping independent artists and labels distribute their music to major online retailers, including Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music, and YouTube Music. The company offers a range of services to support musicians, including music distribution, monetization of sales and streams, and metadata customization. DistroKid also provides storage solutions for music files and additional features like customized YouTube URLs and Digital Object Identifiers (DOIs).
