Founded in 1951, the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists is the specialty`s premier professional membership organization dedicated to the improvement of women`s health. With more than 58,000 members, the College is a 501(c)(6) organization and its activities include producing the College`s practice guidelines and other educational material. Fellows of ACOG are board certified ob-gyns whose professional activities are devoted to the practice of obstetrics and/or gynecology, who possess unrestricted licenses to practice medicine, and have attained high ethical and professional standing. Fellows of ACOG can be recognized by the designation of FACOG (Fellow, American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists) after the physician`s name. Ste. Genevieve County Memorial Hospital is a not-for-profit, county-owned Critical Access Hospital governed by a community-elected five-member board of trustees. Located in the City of Ste. Genevieve, Missouri, it began as a 35-bed facility with 42 employees in 1969. From those modest beginnings, Ste. Genevieve County Memorial Hospital has grown to a major referral center and primary care provider.
The OSU Foundation is a nonprofit organization incorporated in 1947 dedicated to enhancing the mission of Oregon State University. The Foundation is governed by a 42-person Board of Trustees. To help the university reach its goals, the OSU Foundation aspires to develop into one of the premier public university fundraising programs by capitalizing on past successes, an engaged alumni community, and the experience of existing and new professionals. In October 2007, the OSU Foundation publicly launched the university’s first comprehensive fundraising campaign, following an extensive, university-wide planning process which resulted in OSU’s Strategic Plan for the 21st Century. In 2012, the goal for The Campaign for OSU was increased to $1 billion in response to an outpouring of community support. Donors to the campaign are providing resources that create opportunities for students, strengthen Oregon communities, and allows Oregon State to conduct research that changes the world.
