Previously, Mr. Tyle was a Partner at Shearman & Sterling LLP from March 2004 to July 2005. Previously, from September 1997 to March 2004, he served as the General Counsel and Chief Legal Officer at Investment Company Institute, where he oversaw the securities and financial regulation, tax and pension and international practice groups. Mr. Tyle developed industry positions on legislative and regulatory proposals and was responsible for the drafting of congressional testimony and submissions to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission and other federal, state and foreign regulatory agencies. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from Harvard Law School.
