About the Person

David DeVeau is Vice President and General Counsel of Kinder Morgan, the largest midstream and the fourth largest energy company (based on combined enterprise value) in North America. The Kinder Morgan family of companies include Kinder Morgan, Inc. (NYSE: KMI), Kinder Morgan Energy Partners, L.P. (NYSE: KMP), Kinder Morgan Management, LLC (NYSE: KMR) and El Paso Pipeline Partners (NYSE: EPB). Mr. DeVeau joined Kinder Morgan in 2001 and was named deputy general counsel in 2006. Prior to joining Kinder Morgan, Mr. DeVeau practiced commercial litigation in Boston, Mass. Mr. DeVeau received a J.D. degree from The Dickinson School of Law, Pennsylvania State University, and a bachelor’s degree, cum laude, in political science from Norwich University. Kinder Morgan owns an interest in or operates approximately 80,000 miles of pipelines and 180 terminals. The company's pipelines transport primarily natural gas, refined petroleum products, CO2 and crude oil and its terminals store, transfer and handle such products as gasoline, ethanol, coal, petroleum coke and steel. Combined, Kinder Morgan has an enterprise value of approximately $105 billion.
