Our founding partners Craig Forbes and Art Washburn have worked as a team since 1995. In May 2009, along with their long-time associate LeAnn Mitchell, they formed Alpha Omega Wealth Management — an independent registered investment advisory firm located in Richmond, Virginia. Today the full team is made up of eight professionals. Our Alpha Omega investment team does all of our own research and manages our portfolios using the same philosophy and process on which our firm was founded.
It all started with a napkin sketch in a diner. We’re told it was hatched over coffee and ham-and-cheese omelets, but memories have faded since that day in 1999. What we know for sure? Our vision of decomplexifying equity plan management was so straightforward it could be drawn on a 4×4” piece of paper. And we made it happen. By keeping a relentless focus on both innovative technology and remarkable service, we’ve grown into a multinational public company with offices in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom and Australia, and we have customers around the globe. Even though we’ve grown quickly, we’ve always strived to keep it as simple as possible, and we’ve stayed true to our roots as an agile, flexible company. There may even be a story about us accepting partial payment in beer from one of our earliest clients, Big Rock Brewery.
