Breaking traditional methods, DirectRx has an integration of care between the patient and the provider including a support system for the patient, from help with financial assistance to expert advice on how to manage the complicated drug regimens. DirectRx is accredited by NABP, ACHC, URAC and WBENC. Unlike other pharmacies, DirectRx is owned and operated by certified doctors of pharmacy. As a family-owned business, the company has grown to serve more than 20 states since its inception more than two decades ago. DirectRx is led by founder and CEO Santa Zawaideh, R.Ph., who has been in private, independent practice since 1980. She is the proud recipient of the Michigan Pharmacist Association`s Governor`s Award and former two-term president of the Oakland County Pharmacy Association. Vice President of Clinical Services Amanda Berishaj, Pharm. D., daughter of Zawaideh, oversees the daily operations of DirectRx, as well as the clinical operations of patients with chronic disease states.
