Search, List, Manage. Nobody should have to worry about having a roof over their head. As housing becomes more scare, we need a platform tailored to group housing. Thats why I built Housing Helper. It allows students to categorize their sublease listings as a single, double, triple, or quad while landlords can post their rooms and units for lease. Bed/Bath just wasnt enough. Students in need of housing can filter by category and sort by price, newest, and distance to campus. They can also search for key terms which match their needs (e.g. summer sublease) and set their budget. Listings are shown on either a grid view or an interactive map. On the listings details page, you can chat the lister in-app and draft emails and texts to them with one tap if they choose to set their contact info. Students cant be expected to lay down a full deposit for a couple months of shelter, and they shouldnt have to send months of rent down the drain because they cant find a subleaser. Since launch, every listing has been filled within a week. We bring students and vacancies together, whether they be for sublease or year-long rent. After we help you put a roof above your head, we help you keep it by making sure your groups payments stay in order. Housing Helper helps you determine who owes what within your group. Upload your payment ledger and our AI model will do the rest, setting and updating everyones personal balances in seconds. Right now, you can only sign up with a .edu email. This is to protect students from the spam and scam which plagues Facebook Marketplace. Landlords and property managers become verified and are given access through a quick and conclusive proof of management. This way, everyone gets legit listings and leads every single time. The app was built from scratch and there are no plans to make any money from it. The goal is to see it continue to flourish and change things for the best. Hope it helps.
