The flagship Leer mine consistently ranks among the lowest cost U.S. metallurgical mines and produces a product quality that is recognized and sought-after worldwide. An Arch subsidiary is in the process of developing a second world-class longwall mine known as Leer South on the same reserve base. Leer South is expected to commence longwall production in the third quarter of 2021.
