The Mississippi Development Authority (MDA) is the state of Mississippi`s lead economic and community development agency, with approximately 300 employees engaged in providing services to businesses, communities and workers throughout Mississippi. The agency works to recruit new business to the state and retain and expand existing Mississippi industry and business. MDA also provides technical assistance to the state`s entrepreneurs and small businessmen and women and oversees programs that support Mississippi`s minority and women-owned businesses. In addition, the agency provides Mississippi`s corporate citizens with export assistance, manages the state`s energy programs and oversees programs that help its communities become more competitive. The agency works to promote tourism to the state and develop and support Mississippi`s tourism industry, as well.

Starfish Initiative inspires, encourages, and prepares promising, economically disadvantaged students for college and career success. To achieve this goal, Starfish pairs economically disadvantaged high school students one-on-one with college-educated mentors.

Our member companies create and manufacture fragrances for home care, personal care, fine fragrance, and industrial and institutional products. They also market finished products containing fragrance as well as supply fragrance ingredients, including natural extracts and other raw materials that are used in perfumery and fragrance mixtures. The fragrance industry is an important economic contributor, providing a myriad of jobs and investments in research and technology, while also promoting small business and farming communities in the United States and around the world. We represent the scientists, perfumers, researchers, farmers, artists, inventors, entrepreneurs, and the many others who make up the fragrance community. We use and enjoy fragranced products every day, so we know how fragrances inspire and bring comfort, make us feel confident and unique, and remind us of all of the moments that make life special. Anita Borg Institute programs inspire technical women, foster community and provide tools to help them develop their careers. ABI provides resources and programs that help industry, academia, and government recruit, retain, and advance technical women in computer science and engineering to meet the growing global need for technology workers and increase technological innovation. The Institute works with industry partners to make the global technology workplace more welcoming to women. The Anita Borg Institute is a not-for-profit 501(c) 3 charitable organization.
