Northeast Iowa Community College (NICC). Our students, whether pursuing one- or two-year degree and diploma programs, short-term career pathway certificates, high school equivalency diplomas or continuing education and customized training, have hopes and dreams for a better future through education. For their hopes to be realized and dreams to come true, their learning must be purposeful and meaningful to build a strong foundation of success. Every course and personal encounter is critical and builds the foundation of success. Therefore, a student`s understanding of the importance of learning from each course is crucial. Education is a journey, and it requires students to stay on track and build upon what they have already learned. The knowledge gained enables them to prepare for other opportunities along the way. My colleagues and I are committed to helping each student pursue an education that leads to a meaningful career. Our students` success will enable them to sustain their families and contribute to the vitality of their communities. Stony Brook University was established in 1957 as a college for the preparation of secondary school teachers of mathematics and science; our first campus was located at Oyster Bay, Long Island, on the grounds of a former Gold Coast estate. In 1962, a new campus was built in Stony Brook, on land donated by local philanthropist Ward Melville. Part of the State University of New York system, Stony Brook now encompasses 123 buildings on 1,100 acres. In the nearly fifty years since its founding, the University has grown tremendously, and is now recognized as one of the nation`s important centers of learning and scholarship—carrying out the mandate given by the State Board of Regents in 1960 to become a university that would “stand with the finest in the country.”

The College includes three campuses and more than 20 off-campus sites in 15 counties. Our Beatrice campus is located in a city of 12,805 and our Milford campus is at home in a community of 2,071. Our Lincoln campus is located in the capital city of 232,362. Each location offers individual benefits—from rural friendliness and small city energy to metropolitan ambience. In addition to our campus locations, SCC serves 15 counties located in southeast Nebraska with courses operated through the College Continuing Education division. Counties included in the SCC service area are Saunders, York, Seward, Lancaster, Cass, Otoe, Fillmore, Saline, Thayer, Jefferson, Gage, Johnson, Nemaha, Pawnee and Richardson. The general College Administrative Offices are located at 301 S. 68th Street Place in Lincoln. This SCC System Office provides the central coordination for the College, serving as the administrative unit for the SCC campuses and 15-county service area.
Mississippi Delta is a comprehensive community college which offers a wide variety of academic, career, and technical courses in day, evening, and on-line classes. We also offer workforce training, ABE/GED classes, and continuing education courses for local citizens. Mississippi Delta supports its students with a full range of student services including financial aid, counseling, career placement, and on-campus housing. Mississippi Delta instructors are well-trained professionals who are truly dedicated to the success of their students, both in the classroom and in their future careers.
