The District of Lake Country is located near the centre of the Okanagan Valley and is made up of four distinct neighbourhood communities: Oyama, Winfield, Carr's Landing and Okanagan Centre. Lake Country is a beautiful, unique place, rich in its own cultural history. The District was incorporated as a municipality on May 2, 1995. Shortly after incorporation, a referendum was held and the residents decided to maintain their four, distinct neighbourhood communities. The result was the formation of the only municipality in British Columbia that currently utilizes a neighbourhood constituency system. This allows each of the four neighbourhood communities to elect one Councillor, with the mayor and two councillors-at-large being elected by all the residents of the District.
In November of 2007, Catholic Social Services of Grand Rapids joined with Catholic Social Services of Muskegon and Catholic Human Development Outreach to form Catholic Charities West Michigan, which serves the 11 counties of the Diocese of Grand Rapids. We are a community-based agency providing programs in Western Michigan, and offering a variety of services ranging from prevention and education to crisis intervention. All programs are designed to help families and individuals succeed. We are committed to serving the best interests of our clients, representing a diverse population, including persons of all faiths, with particular emphasis on service to persons with low income and outreach to diverse ethnic backgrounds. Welcome to Hartland, VT with a population of 3,223 at the last count. Hartland is a rural town located in Windsor County, just west of the Connecticut River and the New Hampshire border in Vermont`s south central region covering approximately 28,544 acres. The roadways are I-91 Interstate, US Route 5, US Route 12, and 62 miles of dirt road. This is Damon Hall built in 1915 and given to the citzens of Hartland in memory of Luther and Betsey Damon by their descendants. It now houses the Town Offices. Town meetings, elections, community events, and meetings are still held here.
Kentucky Public Pensions Authority (KPPA) is a multi-billion dollar retirement system serving 394,940 state and local government employees and retirees. The Commonwealth of Kentucky provides retirement benefits for state and county employees through the KPPA. KPPA consists of the Kentucky Employees Retirement System (KERS), County Employees Retirement System (CERS), and State Police Retirement System (SPRS). State employees, employees of local health departments, eligible employees of regional state universities, and other agencies qualified under state law participate in KERS. Employees of city, county, and local municipalities, along with classified employees of local school boards, participate in CERS. Participants of SPRS consist of all state police officers.
