Inspira Health Network is a charitable nonprofit health care organization serving communities across southern New Jersey. The network, which traces its roots to 1899, comprises three hospitals, a comprehensive cancer center, several multi-specialty health centers and a total of more than 100 locations. These include urgent care; outpatient imaging and rehabilitation; numerous specialty centers, including sleep medicine, cardiac testing, digestive health and wound care; hospice and home care; and more than 30 primary and specialty physician practices in Gloucester, Cumberland, Salem and Camden counties. Together with our medical staff of more than 1,100 physicians and other health care providers, we provide evidence-based care to help each patient achieve the best possible outcome. Our clinical and support staffs are focused on providing safe care in a safe environment for every patient. And we understand that to provide excellent care to our patients, we must also be sensitive to the needs of their families. The love and support of family can comfort and strengthen patients, while aiding the healing process. SJH provides a full range of care facilities including 16 acute care hospitals, home health agencies, hospice care, outpatient services, skilled nursing facilities, community clinics and physician groups. All of our hospital and home health entities are accredited by the Joint Commission. In our award-winning facilities, SJH maintains a “continuum of care,” matched to the diverse needs of the urban centers, smaller cities and rural communities who depend on us every day. Established in 1982, the roots of our health care organization date back more than 100 years to 1912 when a handful of Midwestern religious women, who became the Sisters of St. Joseph of Orange, traveled across the country to open a school and eventually a small hospital in the lumber town of Eureka, California. Today, SJH continues its work in the tradition of the Sisters through our acute care hospitals, home health care, rehabilitation programs, primary care clinics and many community outreach and wellness programs. In each community it touches, SJH reaches out to care for the poor and vulnerable. Based in Irvine, Calif., SJH serves 10 distinct communities within these three general regions and strives to provide perfect care while building the healthiest communities and ensuring every encounter is sacred.
