Frenkel & Company was founded as a marine insurance brokerage in 1878 by Emil Frenkel, a German immigrant. His sons, George and Leo, embraced Emil`s course of entrepreneurial leadership. Since 2008, Frenkel has acquired Higger & Company in New York City, The Weiner Company in Boston, Massachusetts, and Stenzco Insurance Services in Torrance, California.
