Originally established as the Jewish Shelter House in 1902 and later the Borinstein Home in 1929, Hooverwood has been offering care and services to the elderly in our community for more than a century. Hooverwood was established at its present location in 1970, and has grown to become a well-recognized and respected skilled nursing facility, specializing in rehabilitation, dementia care, and adult day services. We are a nonprofit facility with Medicare and Medicaid certifications. Our rich history, traditions, community involvement, and commitment to person-centered care truly make Hooverwood a nurturing place to live and work.
