Job Requirement:
This role is positioned as a lead architect in the planning and architecture design of Huawei`s Open Orchestrator project. This position is for someone who is passionate about open source solution and architecture design and wants to join Huawei as we build a vibrant open source developer community around open orchestrator. We are looking for a team player who is highly talented and self-motivated and can work well with people both internally and externally. This role requires someone coming from a strong technical background having spent considerable time focused in open source and experience in building open architectures. Experience working with ONOS, ODL, OPNFV, Openstack and/or other open source projects are required. We are looking for an architect to design open orchestrator solution and architecture within open source community. The person should have prior experience (10+ years) in building scalable and highly available networking and OSS solutions for carrier grade production deployments. The person should have prior experience with Virtualization, Cloud Computing and SDN/NFV software development. The person should have strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across internal and external organizations. The person should be self-motivated and able to work independently and/or in support of or leading small teams.
Responsibilities:
• Overall technical strategy for Huawei`s Open Orchestrator, including planning and architecture design.
• Serve as an architect in the open source community. Establish influence through actively contributing to solution and architecture design within the open source community.
• Fully understand use case, design solution and architecture and drive developers to contribute codes within the open source community.
• Work closely with headquarters marketing, system architecture and R&D teams to ensure the strategy and architecture is implemented seamlessly into the commercial solution.
Qualifications:
• MS or higher preferred; BS required. Minimum 10 years experience in related technical role required
• Need to have US work authorization
