Green Tree School & Services (GTSS) is a nonprofit, state-licensed agency that provides education, therapeutic and clinical support to children ages 5-21 with Autism Spectrum Disorder and Severe Emotional Disability. GTSS only serves children whose disabilities are such that they are unable to succeed in a school- based special education program or participate in out of school activities. Rates of both diagnosis are growing, with 1 in 68 children currently affected by Autism and 1 in 78 children affected by Emotional Disability. Consulting Services, also called Green Tree Partnerships, is an education consulting cooperative created by GTSS. Staff work collaboratively with a school or district and take on the management of portion of that school or district’s special education program. Students who exhibit signs of autism or emotional disabilities, but do not have a complete or up to date Individual Educational Plan, can receive Diagnostic Services from GTSS.
