NFA membership also is mandatory for swap dealers and major swap participants. NFA`s membership currently numbers approximately 4,100 firms and 57,000 associates. NFA is a non-profit, independent regulatory organization. We do not operate any markets. We are not a trade association. We operate at no cost to the taxpayer. We are financed exclusively from membership dues and assessment fees.
