Southern Connecticut State University is a state university in Connecticut. Part of the Connecticut State University System, it was founded in 1893 and is governed by the Connecticut Board of Regents for Higher Education. SCSU is located in the West Rock neighborhood of New Haven, Connecticut.
Founded in 1965, the University of Southern Indiana enrolls over 10,000 dual credit, undergraduate and graduate students in 80 majors. Founded in 1901, Grambling State University is a historically black university (HBCU) in northern Louisiana, and is one of nine universities in the University of Louisiana System. Grambling State University combines the academic strengths of a major university with the benefits of a small college, a combination that enables our students to grow and learn in a serene and positive environment. We offer more than forty (40) undergraduate and graduate degree and certificate programs through four colleges, including two professional schools and a graduate school. Additional academic support units include the University College, Earl Lester Cole Honors College, Continuing Education and Service Learning, and Army ROTC. National, regional, and local employers recruit graduates from Grambling`s excellent programs in nursing, computer science, teacher education, the arts, and other academic areas.

Established in 1926 as part of the Tyler Public School System, Tyler Junior College gave residents of the Tyler area access to higher education. The college had a small student body during its early years. In the 1930s, as the country struggled through the Depression, only 200 students were enrolled. However, the prosperity of the 1940’s signaled major changes. In 1945, Tyler voters overwhelmingly approved a measure to create a junior college district and issued $500,000 in bonds for the College. The expansion of the College included new facilities and new full-time faculty members. Its growth came at an appropriate time for local residents and for many veterans who returned to Tyler to seek new opportunities and access to higher education. Tyler Junior College has continued to expand since its “rebirth” in the 1940’s. The Tyler Junior College District is now comprised of six independent school districts: Chapel Hill ISD*, Grand Saline ISD, Lindale ISD, Tyler ISD*, Van ISD* and Winona ISD. Today, after 86 years, Tyler Junior College offers more courses in any single major division than were offered in the entire curriculum in 1926. The College now has an enrollment of approximately 12,000 students each semester. In addition, 20,000 individuals take continuing education courses each year.
