About the Person
John H. Bluher, JD has been Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Northsight Capital, Inc. since July 2014. Mr. Bluher has been Managing Director of AFH Holding & Advisory, LLC since September 2010. Mr. Bluher is responsible for managing transactions, business development, developing corporate governance standards and corporate structuring for companies. He has extensive experience in corporate governance, risk management, legal matters, business development and investment banking. Mr. Bluher has over 15 years of experience in the securities industry. He served as Executive Vice President of Muscle Pharm Corp. from September 2011 to October 15, 2013. Mr. Bluher served as Chief Operating Officer of Muscle Pharm Corp. since September 2011. He has specialized in investment management as well as most aspects related to private equity and hedge fund creation. Since December 2009, he assisted in raising capital, marketing and co-managed Coachman Energy Funds at Caddis Capital, LLC and was its Investment Professional and Sales and Marketing Professional. He served as Secretary, Executive Vice President, Chief Public Affairs Officer and Head of Investor Relations of Janus Capital Management LLC. He served as General Counsel, Secretary, Senior Vice President and Chief Public Affairs Officer of Janus Capital Group, Inc., since August 2004 and Executive Vice President since May 2005. From August 2004 to June 2007, he served as General Counsel and Director of Risk at Janus Capital, Inc. He also worked at Caddis Capital, LLC. From December 2007 to May 2009, he served as Managing Director and General Counsel at Lehman Brothers Holdings, Inc. Mr. Bluher also served as Global Chief Legal and Compliance Officer and Managing Director of Neuberger Berman Inc. From June 2002 to July 2004, he served as Executive Vice President, General Counsel, Corporate Secretary and Director of Risk Management of Knight Trading Group. He served as an Executive Vice President, General Counsel, Director of Risk Management and Secretary of Knight Capital Group Inc. until August 6, 2004. He served with Knight Capital Group Inc., since June 2002. He served as Regional Counsel and Global Chief Compliance Officer for Prudential Securities Group, LLC from January 2001 to May 2002, Senior Vice President from 1992 to 1997 and again from January 2001 to May 2002 and Regional and Divisional Counsel from 1992 to 1997. Mr. Bluher spent five years as Senior Counsel in the Division of Enforcement of United States Securities and Exchange Commission in Washington, D.C. from 1987 to 1992. From February 2010 to August 2010, Mr. Bluher was as Investment Banker and Special Financial Advisor to AARP Mutual Fund Board of Trustees in a platform divestiture. He served as General Counsel, Executive Vice President and Chief Legal and Regulatory Officer for SunAmerica Financial Network, Inc., the financial services holding company for AIG and Sun America, Inc. from October 1997 to January 2001. He served as the Co-Chairman of Muscle Pharm Corp. from July 2012 to December 31, 2013. He has been the Chairman of the Board of Safe Communications Inc. (Kuboo, Inc.) since May 2011. He serves on the NASDAQ Chairman's Advisory Board. He served as a Director of Muscle Pharm Corp. from July 2012 to December 31, 2013. He serves on the boards of ICI Mutual Insurance Company, Cherry Hills Founders Group, Inc. and the University of Wyoming, College of Law Advisory Board. He served as a Director of Targeted Medical Pharma, Inc. since February 2011. He is a frequent Speaker at financial services industry meetings and conferences. He holds FINRA Series 7, Series 24 and Series 14 licenses. Mr. Bluher received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Political Science in 1980 and a J.D. in 1983, both from University of Wyoming.
