About the Person

Karla Robertson is the Executive Vice President, General Counsel, and Corporate Secretary of SUPERVALU Inc. which is headquartered in Eden Prairie, Minnesota. In this role, she has responsibility for the Legal, Risk Management, and Asset Protection functions.   Robertson joined SUPERVALU in July of 2009 as Senior Labor & Employment Counsel and most recently served as Vice President of the Employment, Compensation and Benefits law functions. Prior to SUPERVALU, Robertson worked at Target Corporation, where she provided in-house employment counsel and legal support for the human resources area and served as Senior Employee Relations Counsel supporting Target’s United States and India operations. Prior to Target, Robertson was an associate attorney at Faegre & Benson LLP litigating cases in both the employment and business litigation areas. Robertson also served as a judicial law clerk for the United States District Court for the Southern District of Iowa before she began practicing law at Faegre & Benson.   Robertson received her J.D. from the University of Denver College of Law in 1998 (Order of St. Ives) and her B.A. from the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities in 1992. She serves on the Weisman Art Museum's Colleagues Advisory Board.
