Lincoln, NE-based Governor of Nebraska has Promoted Lauren Kintner as General Counsel
The Governor of Nebraska holds the "supreme executive power" of the state of Nebraska as provided by the fourth article of the Nebraska Constitution. The current governor is Dave Heineman, a Republican, who assumed office on January 20, 2005, upon the resignation of Mike Johanns (who had been appointed United States Secretary of Agriculture). He won a full term in 2006. The current Lieutenant Governor is John Nelson, appointed September 29, 2014.
Lauren Kintner of Papillion currently serves as Director of the Governor’s Policy Research Office and General Counsel to the Governor. In these roles, she manages a 10-member staff who serve as key policy advisors to the Governor and works as a liaison to state agencies and the Unicameral. Previously, Kintner served as an Assistant Attorney General under Nebraska Attorney General Don Stenberg and as a Legislative Assistant to U.S. Congressman Hal Daub.
