The Troy City School District encompasses 36.7 square miles in central Miami County, Ohio. The district serves the City of Troy and Concord Township. The community, which is comprised of 22,000 people, is situated on I-75 approximately 20 miles north of Dayton, Ohio. The I-70, I-75 interchange is about twelve miles south of Troy, giving residents easy access to two major highway systems serving the United States. Dayton International Airport is also a fifteen-minute drive down Interstate 75. The district is comprised of six elementaries, one 6th grade building, one junior high, and one high school. Our tradition is of providing young people with a quality education based on innovative curriculum and support services designed to meet student needs. Founded in 1871, the Fulton County School System is one of the oldest and largest school districts in Georgia. With a focus on student achievement and a commitment to continual improvement, Fulton has earned a reputation as a premier school system. This long history of excellence is evidenced by the many state and national honors bestowed on Fulton`s schools, staff and students. The Fulton County School System is one of the most unique school systems in the nation. Though not Georgia`s largest school system in terms of student enrollment, it is, however, one of the largest systems in geographic area. From its southern end in the City of Chattahoochee Hills to its northernmost tip in Johns Creek, the county is more than 70 miles long. What is known as present-day Fulton County was formed by the 1932 consolidation of the former Campbell and Milton counties, making Fulton the size of three counties.
Two decades ago, Hoover City Schools began independent of Jefferson County with one high school, one middle school and five elementary schools. Our student population then, in 1988, was around 5000. Now, we`re a system of 17 schools with a student population that topped 13,000 in August 2010.
