About the Person

Lucy Lee Helm has been Chief Partner Officer of Starbucks Corporation since July 12, 2017 and has been its Executive Vice President since May 2012. Ms. Helm served as General Counsel and Secretary of Law & Corporate Affairs at Starbucks Corporation since May 2012. She served as the Senior Vice President of Global Business at Starbucks Corporation and Deputy General Counsel from October 2007 to April 2012 and served as its Assistant Secretary until May 2012. Prior to joining Starbucks, Ms. Helm was a principal at Riddell Williams P.S. in Seattle, where she was a trial lawyer specializing in commercial, insurance coverage and environmental litigation. She has also served as assistant director and advocacy director at the Center for Accessible Living in Louisville, Kentucky and an instructor with the University of Louisville paralegal program. She has over 20 years` experience as a lawyer, board member and volunteer in the Seattle community. She has been Director at Mercy Corps since April 2013. She was recognized as a 2008 Alumnae Fellow of the University of Louisville School of Arts and Sciences and a 2010 Outstanding Alumnae of the School of Law. She received the Puget Sound Business Journal`s award for Diversity Champion at their General Counsel Awards last night, has been a longtime advocate for disability rights as well as an active supporter of Mercy Corps` work. Ms. Helm holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, which she received with highest honors, from the University of Louisville and is a cum laude graduate of the Brandeis School of Law at the University of Louisville.
