About the Person

Lynn Rhinehart was named AFL-CIO General Counsel by Trumka in October 2009 and joined the legal staff of the AFL-CIO as Associate General Counsel in 1996.  She graduated magna cum laude from the Georgetown University Law Center and clerked for two years for the Honorable Joyce Hens Green of the United States District Court for the District of Columbia. Prior to law school, she worked as a professional staff member for the Senate Subcommittee on Labor, chaired by Senator Howard Metzenbaum (D-OH).  She has written extensively.
