Honolulu, HI-based Hawaiian Airlines has Promoted Mark K. Arimoto as Deputy General Counsel
Hawaiian has led all U.S. carriers in on-time performance for each of the past nine years (2004-2012) as reported by the U.S. Department of Transportation. In addition, consumer surveys by Condé Nast Traveler, Travel + Leisure and Zagat have all ranked Hawaiian the top domestic airline offering flights to Hawaii. Hawaiian was also the nation`s highest-ranked carrier for service quality and performance in the prestigious Airline Quality Rating (AQR) study for 2008 and 2009. With over 84 years of service in Hawaii, Hawaiian is the largest provider of passenger air service to Hawaii from the state`s primary visitor markets on the U.S. mainland. Hawaiian offers nonstop service to Hawaii from more U.S. gateway cities (11) than any other airline, as well as service to Japan, South Korea, Taipei, Australia, New Zealand, American Samoa,and Tahiti. Hawaiian also provides approximately 150 daily jet flights between the Hawaiian Islands.
In his new position, Mark Arimoto will oversee many of the day-to-day activities of Hawaiian Airlines’ legal department, including litigation, transactions and government regulations, as deputy general counsel. Arimoto first joined Hawaiian Airlines as assistant general counsel in 2007. Prior to this, he worked in securities litigation for a private law firm in Boston and Los Angeles. An alumnus of ‘Iolani School in Honolulu, Arimoto graduated from Harvard University magna cum laude and earned his law degree from Georgetown University.
