We create architecture that shapes the public realm; this has been central to our practice since 1963. Our 180-person firm, based in New York City, works primarily with educational, cultural and scientific clients, including some of the most venerable institutions in North America: from Stanford to Yale Universities, from the American Museum of Natural History to the Clinton Presidential Library, from Carnegie Hall to the Standard Hotel on the High Line. Our diverse portfolio—including new construction, renovation and expansion, historic preservation, interior design and master planning—ranges from museums and performing arts centers to complex laboratory, research and teaching facilities for higher education to a wastewater treatment plant. Through form, light and materiality, Ennead creates expressive architecture that embodies each client`s mission and engages the user while shaping our place and time.
Lighting Affiliates was founded by Brian Fox and his partners in March of 1990. We have always challenged ourselves on not just being a "provider of lighting products" but to be a "lighting solutions provider" and as the company grew we worked to maintain and improve our place as a leader in the marketplace. We take a focused approach to being a pioneer in the lighting industry while constantly looking for the newest products and technology. We strive to provide the best in class lighting solutions by building off our success with involvement in some of the areas largest projects such as the Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun Casino, Connecticut Science Center, The Connecticut Convention Center, Yale University and many commercial projects.

The Catalytic Fund executes high impact real estate development projects by connecting people, place, and product with capital and technical expertise. Our privately funded, not-for-profit company is a Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) certified by the U.S. Department of Treasury. The Catalytic Fund has multiple resources for planning and funding real estate development projects that meet our criteria of quality, need, and impact. These include financial products such as loans and investments, as well as real estate development services we provide on a consulting basis. We are locally controlled, privately funded, and unregulated--therefore our financial investments are flexible, creative, and individually structured based on each projects capital need. Our financial investments are limited to projects within our Investment Area of Ludlow, Covington, Newport, Bellevue, and Dayton with some exceptions. We can provide development services for projects in any geographic location. Notable projects include Hotel Covington, the Boone Block Lofts in Covington, and Kent Lofts in Bellevue. Since 2013, we have financed or provided development services for 100 projects representing $450M+ in new investment in Northern Kentucky.
A rich and diverse history, our heritage stems from three companies that joined to form MWH as it is known today: James M. Montgomery Consulting Engineers (JMM), Watson Hawksley and Harza Engineering Company. These mergers – JMM and Watson Hawksley in 1992 and Montgomery Watson and Harza in 2001 – galvanized the company’s rise to prominence on the world platform where we are now a true leader and a formidable competitor in the wet infrastructure industry. JMM was founded in 1945 in southern California. In the early 1990s, JMM merged with English firm Watson Hawksley, Ltd. of High Wycombe, England, which originated in London in the 1850s. This created a company of global scope with similar corporate cultures that honored individual expertise and encouraged teamwork, innovation and initiative; and a common view of the industry’s future. The name was eventually changed to Montgomery Watson Harza then to MWH Global in 2001. In 2010, MWH acquired United Kingdom (UK) based Biwater Services Ltd, a leading UK water construction and engineering firm. The acquisition afforded MWH a broader range of skills to address the creation, management and optimization of existing wet infrastructure assets and enhanced our ability to service the full asset life cycle of our clients from feasibility through commissioning and operation. The companies have a shared heritage in the UK market that dates back to 1820. Today, MWH is comprised of more than 180 global offices in 35 countries, operating on six continents bringing highly trained engineers, managers, consultants, policy and project advocates, informational technologists, economists, statisticians, public relations professionals and financial experts together. We continue to be dedicated to innovation and committed to mastering and applying emerging technologies to create client-focused results. We have engaged in the engineering, construction, financing and management of some of the world’s largest and most technically significant wet infrastructure projects in the world. We continue to build on our strong foundation and are constantly improving our services by delivering projects faster and more efficiently through our global resources, aggressively sharing knowledge at an accelerated pace and demonstrating our willingness to change and adapt.
