In 1992, Nexus Health Systems embarked on a mission to create specialized healthcare environments where patients could receive treatment and rehabilitation specific to their needs. The company, which is privately owned and headquartered in Houston, Texas, has continued to build upon a tradition of excellence as it strives to provide each individual with dignity, respect, compassion and positive outcomes. Nexus Health Systems provides medical services in the residential and medical specialty fields. We provide post-acute, transitional and vocational rehabilitation services to individuals who suffer from traumatic brain injuries. Nexus also provides post-acute medical care and rehabilitation services to children and adults who are medically complicated, technology dependent, and/or catastrophically impaired. Nexus has continued to build or expand facilities in order to meet patient demand and operates three freestanding specialty hospitals and a residential rehabilitation campus.
MJHS is one of the largest health systems in the region. Our range of health services include home care, hospice and palliative care for adults and children, rehabilitation and nursing care (Menorah and Isabella Center) and the research based MJHS Institute for Innovation and Palliative Care. We also offer health plans for Medicare and dual-eligible individuals. As a not-for-profit organization, many of our programs and services are made possible through the generosity of grateful families, corporate donors and grants, as well as our own employees.
