About the Person

Michael J. Denton served as Vice President, Secretary and General Counsel of Curtiss-Wright Corporation from August 2001 to February 21, 2014. Mr. Denton served as Corporate Counsel of Honeywell International, Inc. from 1993 to 2001. Prior to joining Curtiss-Wright, Mike worked for Honeywell International Inc., joining that company in 1993 when it was known as AlliedSignal Inc. During his service at Honeywell, he held a series of progressively responsible positions, including General Counsel to Honeywell Aerospace, a $10B manufacturer of aerospace and defense products and services. Mike graduated from Dartmouth College with a degree magna cum laude in Governmental Philosophy. He attended the University of Michigan Law School, where he received his Juris Doctor degree cum laude. Following law school graduation, Mike joined the US Department of Justice in its Civil Division as part of the Attorney General’s Honor Law Graduate program. He later worked in the private practice of law in Washington, D.C. and served as corporate counsel for Westinghouse Electric Corporation and the General Electric Company. Mike resides in Morristown, New Jersey with his wife, Mary Ann (Bruce) Denton.
