The Georgia Lottery was created in November 1992 by the people of Georgia to enhance educational funding. The Lottery for Education Act created the Georgia Lottery Corporation (GLC) to oversee and operate the lottery. It is our goal to ensure the Governor’s Mansion is preserved and remain historically accurate. In 2011 the Mansion Preservation Act created an authority responsible for maintaining and restoring the 107 year old house to reflect its original heritage.
