The NASA Shared Services Center (NSSC) opened March 1, 2006, on the grounds of Stennis Space Center in Mississippi. NSSC is a public/private partnership between NASA and Computer Sciences Corporation Service Providers. NSSC consolidated selected activities from all NASA Centers in the areas of: Financial Management, Human Resources, Information Technology, and Procurement. The NSSC is a center that performs a variety of transactional and administrative activities that were being done at each Center. Consolidation allows the NSSC to increase operational efficiency and improve overall customer service. Initial services provided by the NSSC will be from four functional areas: human resources, financial management, procurement, and information technology.
Established in 1978, the New York City Department of Housing Preservation and Development (HPD) is the largest municipal housing preservation and development agency in the nation. The agency`s mission is to promote the construction and preservation of affordable, high quality housing for low- and moderate-income families in thriving and diverse neighborhoods in every borough by enforcing housing quality standards, financing affordable housing development and preservation, and ensuring sound management of the City`s affordable housing stock. HPD is responsible for carrying out Housing New York: A Five-Borough Ten-Year Plan, Mayor Bill de Blasio`s initiative to build or preserve 200,000 affordable housing units and to help both tenants and landlords preserve the quality and affordability of their homes. HPD is leading the Mayor`s charge, in partnership with over 13 sister agencies, advocates, developers, tenants, community organizations, elected officials, and financial institutions.

The Office of the Commissioner of Insurance (OCI) was created by the legislature in 1870. The original intent of OCI has not changed drastically over the past 125 years. In 1870, OCI was vested with broad powers to ensure that the insurance industry responsibly and adequately met the insurance needs of Wisconsin citizens. Today, OCI`s mission is to lead the way in informing and protecting the public and responding to its insurance needs. OCI performs a variety of tasks to protect insurance consumers and ensure a competitive insurance environment. OCI`s major functions include: • Reviewing insurance policies that are sold in Wisconsin to make sure they meet the requirements set forth in Wisconsin law; • Conducting examinations of domestic and foreign insurers to ensure compliance with Wisconsin laws and rules; • Monitoring the financial solvency of licensed companies to make sure that consumers have the insurance coverage they expect when they need it; • Issuing licenses to the various parties involved in selling and marketing insurance products; • Assisting insurance consumers with their insurance problems; • Researching special insurance issues to understand and assess their impact on Wisconsin; • Providing technical assistance on legislation and promulgating administrative rules to interpret insurance laws; • Creating and distributing public information and consumer education pieces to educate people about insurance; and • Operating a state life insurance fund, a property fund for the property owned by local units of government, and a patients compensation fund insuring health care providers for medical malpractice.
