Welcome to Fresno Pacific University! Here we challenge students to think critically, excel academically and live ethically. Our core values and commitment to building character spring from a distinctively Christian perspective. Fresno Pacific prepares people to lead in professions, serve society and transform culture. We are the Central Valley`s only accredited Christian university, offering leading academic programs, and ethical and spiritual development through traditional bachelor`s degree, adult degree completion, master`s, certificate and credentialing programs. We are accredited by the WASC Senior College and University Commission (WSCUC). Learning is a lifelong journey, and our undergraduate, graduate and professional development programs provide direction and build competence. The curriculum is organized into four schools: Business, Education, Natural Sciences, and Humanities, Religion and Social Sciences. While each is centered on different disciplines, all are grounded in the same values. Whether fresh out of high school or juggling family and work responsibilities, those who study here examine assumptions and sharpen critical thinking, reasoning and leadership skills. At the same time our Christian faculty mentor students, teaching them how to think, not telling them what to think. Through this process, our graduates learn and achieve more than they ever imagined possible--academically, personally and professionally. Harris-Stowe State University`s primary mission, as set forth in Senate Bill 153, is to address the higher education needs of the metropolitan St. Louis region. Toward the fulfillment of this mandate, the University offers a solid General Education curriculum, which serves as the foundation for the University`s various baccalaureate programs in three broad professional areas, including baccalaureate degree programs in business, education, and arts and sciences. In addition, the University is thoroughly committed to meeting to the greatest extent possible the needs of a student population that is diverse in age, culture, ethnicity and experiential backgrounds. In short, Harris-Stowe State University is strongly committed to providing a high-quality higher education experience that is both affordable and accessible to the diverse populations within and beyond the metropolitan St. Louis region. The University seeks to accomplish this overarching goal through an extensive academic support program, a college-preparatory academy for urban youth, supervision of student progress and through many community outreach and collaborative partnerships with businesses, government and educational institutions. From our humble early beginnings as a community college in 1967, Conestoga has risen to become one of Canada`s premier polytechnic institutes. We offer advanced applied education, and research leading to the commercialization of innovation in southwestern Ontario. For nine of the last ten years independent research has named Conestoga as the number one publicly funded college in Ontario! Our largest campus (Doon) in Kitchener is located right next to highway 401 on 138 acres of land and offers a full range of programming. Conestoga`s newest campus, located in Cambridge directly across the 401 from the Doon (Kitchener) campus, opened in August 2011. This 260,000-square-foot facility is home to Conestoga’s School of Engineering Technology and Trades as well as its Institute of Food Processing Technology. Our Waterloo campus is a centre of excellence for skilled trades and culinary and our Guelph campus has emerged as a provincial leader in motive power trades. We also have smaller campuses in Stratford and Cambridge offering academic upgrading and career focused programs.
