Rene Friedman was appointed Vice President, Global Head of Legal and Compliance, in January 2012 and as General Counsel in June 2013. Prior to joining the company, Ms. Friedman spent more than fifteen years in private practice, including six years as partner at Sidley Austin LLP, where she focused on futures, derivatives, and securities litigation and regulation. Ms. Friedman is a 1993 graduate of the New York University School of Law, and is a member of the bar in Illinois and New York.
